Hey everyone! I know it's been a long time since I've written but I have been unbelievable busy!
As everyone knows I took place in the Miss Teen Canada- World 2010 pageant and let me just say it was an experience of a lifetime! I had a blast meeting new people, learning new things, and going to a city I've never been to before. I have told many about my experience with Miss Teen Canada and everyone I have talked to says it sounds like quite the experience. We didn't just stay around in the hotel and practice practice practice, we went out and did things around the city. Don't get me wrong we did practice lots of walks, turns, and dance routines, but it was worth it in the end.
Michelle is an awesome director! She is happy and brings a smile to the face of any girl who is in need of a smile. She did an amazing job directing the pageant and because of all the hard work, long hours, and effort she put into the pageant it was successful and a time I will never forget.

If I could have my own television show, I would call it Saskatchewan's Next Top Gymnast. It would be two hours long and shown on Tuesday's and Friday's. Tuesdays would be all about training and learning either a beam, bar or floor routine and each would do vault. Friday would be doing the routine and voting. The following Tuesday would start off with one girl being voted off. The season would begin with twenty girls from all across Saskatchewan. Each girl would begin by being given what event they are doing.
Goody would be wonderful for sponsoring because they can supply all the hair accessories the gymnasts would need. Having history as being a gymnast I can recall that many hair ties and bobby pins are needed. Also big scrunchies are wonderful to wear over smaller hair ties to add color. Hair accessories such as ribbons are good to have because Goody has them in many colors and you can add them into your pony tail to match your team colors.
I believe Xplosion Fitness would make a wondeful sponsor for this television show. They could help train the girls for the muscles they need to work on building for gymnastics. They could help the girls make a work out plan and help them stay true to it. Xplosion Fitness could supply the equipment each and every girl would need to use.

Teenage girls from coast to coast have prepared for many weeks now for Toronto, Ontario. I, Jacey Milman from North Battleford, Saskatchewan am ready and set!
Now not many people have even heard of North Battleford. When I went on a Quebec exchange a few years ago, many people asked where we were from and once we told them we got a lot of "Where is North Battleford??" as a responce. Well let me briefly explain where we are. North Battleford is about an hour and a half out of Saskatoon, four hours from Regina and hour and half away from LLoydminister.

North Battleford may be small, but we have so much interesting places and so much history. There are tons of attractions in the Battlefords. Saskatchewan Hospital just outside of the Battlefords is the only psychiatric hospitals left of its kind. Saskatchewan Hospital is featured in the novel Ghost Stories of Saskatchewan and many have had one or some paranormal experiences.
This is a photo of the main entrance of the Saskatchewan Hospital. The land consists of 2,400 acres in the farm and 1,000 acres in cultivation.

Fort Battleford is another tourist attraction that is very popular. Fort Battleford and areas surrounding it are the grounds where many battles were faught. It is another place where many have experienced paranormal activity. Many say soldiers still walk the grounds of the fort and some are out to seek revenge. I, myself have never witnesed activity but walking into some of the older buildings on the grounds sends shivers up the spine.
This photo is taken in the Fort. Fort Battleford showcases the role of the North West Mounted Police in the Canadian West. The fort was established in 1876 and abandoned in 1924. It offers five original buildings, four with period furniture. The stockades and bastions are reconstructed, and the barracks has an interpretive display.

There are a few places in the Battlefords that I love to return to. One place is King Hill. It is a hill that over looks Ducks Unlimited which is the large duck pond we have. It over looks part of Battleford which is beautiful to see at night. Another place is the old government house. Many claim this to be haunted as well. My favorite part about this place is the row of trees they have hovering over a path. I went there with my friend Briegh one night and we decided to walk this path. It was about a 5-7 minute walk until the end. Once the end is reached there is a gate that remains open and has a very large cross and three large statues.
This photo over looks the Battlefords from King Hill

Another place that is quite interesting is my first and only sponsor, G & C Asphalt Services. G & C has been running for 40 years. The original owners, Paul Gervais and Lyle Custard sold the company over to Colace. My Papa, Ray Berthelot, has worked there for 26 years. I remember many times when I was younger my Memere would pick me up from school at lunch time and we would go down to G & C to bring lunch to Papa. He would let me sit on his knee or in his big chair in front of all the controls. I always felt so important then. There were times that if I was there when a truck needed ashphalt I would help Papa make it by pushing all the buttons. The excitment I got from making ashphalt was crazy.
Thank you G & C Ashphalt for sponsoring me!!

The weather forecast hasn't stopped calling for rain for nearing two weeks now. Isn't there a limit? I believe there should be! Many basements here in North Battleford have flooded due to the non stop rain. If it's not raining, it is just very cold. Last Saturday, May 22nd, our Relay for Life team had our bbq in the cold weather but we did fairly well! We didn't let the cold weather or the fact most of the team was working stop us! Deena, Carol, and myself were the only 3 with the day off but my dad, my Memere and a friend of mine, Shaye, came to help which was wonderful. Tuesday rained quite a bit, and the weather was very cold, but once again that never stopped our Relay for Life team from doing a bottle drive. We raised quite a bit for the Canadian Cancer Society! The Relay for Life is coming up soon on June 11th. There are many ways a person can help with the Canadian Cancer Society. If you go on the link http://www.cancer.ca/Saskatchewan/How%20you%20can%20help.aspx?sc_lang=en it gives a bunch of different ways you can help.

This week has been incredibly busy with going to businesses to get donations. Many friends of mine have been going out talking to some businesses and they are doing amazing. I give a huge thank you to Denise and Alyssa who have been doing great. I couldn't say bigger thank you's. Every weekday Alyssa would contact me with more good news. The community has been a wonderful help with everything. As I was sitting in a public place the other day waiting for my mom, a woman walked by and told the man who was sitting next to me, "do you know you are sitting next to someone famous? She is going to Toronto for Miss Teen Canada." I had never seen this woman before It brought a smile to my face. The man next to me congratuated me as did the woman and wished me the best of luck. I have had a few people whom I do not know wish me luck and say congratulations. Each time it brings a smile to my face. I have talked to many people I have never talked to before that are wishing me luck. Thank you for the Newsoptomist for putting such an ad in the paper and bringing attention to this. The biggest thank you I have for anyone is to my parents, they have supported me, and given me so much confidance. I love them very much. Thank you Mom and Dad!
Here is a photo of me and Alyssa just before the Grand March.

I can't believe tomorrow will already be a week since it was prom!!! It was an amazing day and night!! We couldn't of had it as perfect as it was if it wasn't for Denise Baker and my mom who worked super hard getting everything ready and organized. Also a big thank you to everyone who stayed until about 11:00pm from the 10th until about the 13th. The decorations were beautiful!!!
The day started out pretty good. It was a warm sunny day, no rain like the weather channel called for which was a HUGE relief. My brother Rick, his girlfriend Kyla, and their son Jett all arrived at about 12:00pm. Kyla was going to do my hair for prom and then they were going to come to the grand march and dance. We all got ready then before putting my dress on I noticed the children next door were having an iced tea stand. I went over there some of my family members to purchase some iced tea. Sara, whom is the oldest (approx. 8 yrs old) was "the boss" and Natasha (approx 6) who lives next to Sara was her business partner. They had made a sign for their stand saying 'All money going to Brain Tumor Foundation' (something along those lines). It was adorable and wonderful to see them getting involved with things like that at an early age. Sars's mom Rachel commented on how beautiful I looked getting ready to go and how she couldn't believe I was already going to prom cause when we moved next door I was only Sara's age. She asked me to come back over once I have my dress on. I went back home to change then went back to show Rachel. She kept commenting on how beautiful I looked etc. It brought a huge smile to my face. Sara and Natasha told me I look very pretty. I told them me and some friends will be taking a limo and it would be at my place to pick me up within the next ten minutes so Sara and Natasha got very excited and sat on the edge of the curb to wait.

Our limo finally arrived!! It was very exciting! I've only seen pictures of it then viewing it up close was a complete WOW! My mom was so excited about seeing the limo, she ran out of the house and missed the front steps completely, falling onto the cement. I turned around to make sure she was ok and she said she was fine. My family came and peeked inside to see how it looked and was very excited. Sara and Natasha came to see as well. I climbed in joining my best friend Britney, her sister Tina and their escorts. We then made a few stops to pick up our other friend Charisse and her escort, my escort Colin, Britney's cousin Brady and his escort, then finally our friend Jake and his escort.
We drove around town for about an hour, grabbed a bite to eat then next stop... PROM HALL!!! On our way there another exciting event happened... we got pulled over by the police. We were all getting worried since we were unsure of what we did to get pulled over. The cop walked up to the limo and asked to see inside and wished us a safe and wonderful prom and to say congratulations. We all got a huge laugh out of that.
We arrived at prom to see our families standing around waiting for our arrival. I saw my mom instantly with a cast on her arm. After we left she decided to go the the hospital to get it looked at since she couldn't move her arm. Turns out she broke her elbow and possibly her wrist. I felt so bad for her! She now has that as a memory of prom. She made it there in time though and ready to do anything needed done. She's a trooper!
We went into the hall to go where we had to go which was a very long wait for the grand march. Two hours of waiting is a very long time in a small waiting area. FINALLY, the grand march began! We all did our walk, then did one more walk around the arena. From there we went and sat with our families for a bit then the dance was about to begin. It was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, and enjoyment. It was a night I know I will never forget!

Congratulations to all the graduates of John Paul II Collegiate. Wishing you all the best for your futur!

It's been a busy but wonderful day. I'd like to say happy mother's day to all the wonderful mother's!
I attended the 3rd annual Princess Tea this afternoon with my mom, grandmother's, and my cousin Denise with her daughter Jorda. The Princess Tea is put on by John Paul II Collegiate Be The Change/Battlefords and Area Circle of Change. The theme this year was diamond castle, and boy oh boy did the ball room ever look like a diamond castle! There were chandeliers, flowers, white trees with white lights. It was absolutely beautiful! I was asked to do a speech at the tea which went very well. Many young princesses came up to me after saying hi with big smiles on their faces. One little girl asked me if I was a real princess. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful dressed up as princesses. There were door prizes throughout the afternoon, pictures being taken, a coloring section for children to color at, and the dance floor was open for those who wanted to dance. Many little girls got up and danced. Everyone had a great time!!! Rena Fauchon-Smokum, Crystal Wandler, and Roxanne Stynsky did an amazing job once again this year with the tea!!!! It was a huge success!!!!
Here is one of the photos taken from Bannerman Photo Studio that did free photo settings throughout the day. I shared this amazing day with my mom, my grandma Elaine and my memere Yvette. I couldn't of had a better day with my family.

Well the weekend went by very quickly but it was a great weekend! I got my first sponsor yesterday!! Thank you G & C Ashphalt!!! I went to many other places for sponsorship and many told me to come back on Thursday so it will give them time to think of something to put together! Yay!! My Papa came with me with I went to talk to the people who own G & C Ashphalt since he has worked for them for years. When they agreed to sponsor me, I hugged my Papa and thanked him for arranging the meeting. Then the managers began to laugh and asked if they could get a hug too, I laughed with them and hugged them as well. We had a few more laughs before I left and thanked them very much again.

I had my prom pictures taken on Sunday, which was tons of fun minus the weather. It snowed and was very cold!!! When we got back to North Battleford it was very nice out! This weather jsut needs to stay sunny in my opinion. We made the best of the pictures anyways. We also did family pictures after prom ones. We had so much fun doing those as well. For all the pictures, we did some inside and some outside. We were not outside long with any of them. Even when I wasn't in a dress- it was still very cold. Megan, the photographer, told us that we could come back when it is nice out for more outside pictures which we were very thankful for.
Here are 2 pictures that Megan put together. These pictures were fun to do. I love my family very much.

As for more about how the weekend was... well... it was amazing! Jett is going to be nine months old on the 16th of May already! He is growing up so quickly. He is crawling around very quickly and will get into a bunch of things. He is learning when you keep saying "Jett... no." or "Tata" he will usually stop what he is doing and go do something else. He is getting so strong. He will hold onto the edge of something and pull himself up! If you hold his hands he will take a few steps also.
Here is a prom picture we took with Jett. He was more amused by my hair in a lot of the pictures. He kept pulling at it and playing with it. It was so funny and cute.

Hey Everyone!
Time is flying by! I hold the title of Miss Teen Western Saskatchewan 2010. I am very proud to of made it this far. I will be going to talk to companies on Monday for sponsorship, which I am very excited about. I am very excited for July as I had a great time in Saskatoon. I cannot wait to meet everyone! Everyone was super friendly and just all around great in Saskatoon. Aside from getting things ready for Toronto, I have been busy with homework and coaching gymnastics.
My gymnasts have been working so hard this session and I am so proud of each and every one of them! I will be coaching my second advanced class tonight. The girls I have in these classes are such hard workers. They are preparing for many hard badges with only 8 weeks in this session. In awesome news about gymnastics- our building is continuing to be built! The cement is now being poured! I am very excited for be in our new building by fall as the gymnastics club has been waiting for 8 years for this to happen.

I will be going to Bladworth this weekend to see my brother Rick, his girlfriend Kyla, and my nephew Jett. I am very excited to see them as we do not get to see eachother too often because we live quite a far distance away from eachother. We will be getting prom pictures and family pictures done on Sunday as well. Here is picture of Rick, Kyla and Jett.
